- About Kau Ingat Kau Gempak -
Took me quite few years to produce this, because there were no lyrics when I beatbox, I wanted to make the crowd chant a phrase. So I wanted to come with an anthem which is memorable, the hardest part is when comes to Malay language. I wanted it to be grimy, street and slang in the urban malaysian culture. I think a lot for this unique phrase, finally I came with one which is the title now, "Kau Ingat Kau Gempak". It was in 2014. Originally this track somewhat influence to be trap style sounding, it wasn't supposed to sound how it sounded now. It was different vibe, different melody and notes. I composed so many times to get the right sound for this phrase. One day I walked through shopping malls, this rhythm flew in my head and I project it through my mouth. It sounded very dark. I quickly record this idea in my recording app. This rhythm wasn't for "Kau Ingat Kau Gempak", actually it was for another record. End up, the instrumental wasn't used, the instrumental is straight forward intro, drop and loop. I love this instrumental sound so much, I don't want it to go to waste, later in year 2016, why not I record the phrase over this instrumental? I recorded the phrase on this track "Kau Ingat Kau Gempak". In May 2017, I layer more vocals for the chorus because at that time someone broke my heart and I let all my anger out by imagining that person. The rest just goes! I play around with the arrangement it was trap on the 1st verse but on the 2nd verse is very grime influenced. Then to electro influenced then to glitch. I glitched the phrase and it happened accidentally and sounded like it saying, "Kau Ingat Ni", I like it and leave it be. I released this track for while in mid-march without no rap vocals. Later, my circle of friends at work told me, it will be better if there is rap vocals in it. From that advice, it made me to push harder to find the right Malay Lyricist and Rapper. I don't want it to be typical lyric and just rap, I want it to be aggressive and lyrical. My old friend ALTRBG was the first person in my mind to be in it, because we collaborated on a track before so I knew he could kill it again. I contacted ALTRBG in March 2018 and told him to write a verse and told him as well treat this song as one of your song. The other rapper I want is Aman-Ra but I got no respond from him, maybe part 2 I guess? I want Altimet to be on it too but I am very shy and humble myself to approach him. I guess part 2 as well? InshaAllah. While waiting for ALTRBG to write his verse, I move on to proceed for "Dipukau" after finishing a recording session with Takahara Suiko at a proper studio. I did another short recording session at that studio. I was still depressed, upset, heartbroken and offended by certain people in my life. I let all the anger energy out in this session, I layered "Kau Ingat Kau Gempak" with much more aggressive with "I don't give a damn" attitude and I screamed out of my chest and lungs by imagining all of them. This is somewhat like a diss track to them instead wasting time recording a whole verse why not a one liner? Originally my intention it wasn't a diss track at all but came to a point I thought I can use this as a diss to someone in my past and as well for the future coming. In the end, if you think you are better, do humble yourself, only God will make everything better. The ambience towards the end all are my vocals and the whispering voice, "Tuhan Lagi Gempak" was a twist by Heartzel because he listened to this track first hand, there is a beatbox battle which I judged he uses the phrase from this "Kau Ingat Kau Gempak" with a twist answer "Tuhan Lagi Gempak". I said to me after the battle, he beatbox battle and do dakwah at the same time. He laughs. I like the phrase and record it, if you listen carefully it resembles of a person doing zikr.

Q: What can you tell about yourself?
A: A hiphop version of Max Cavalera.

Q: How do you get involved into music?
A: Back in the days, being a part of music industry was my dream. I believe the law of attractions although I started as hobby.

Q: Have you ever work with a beatboxer before?
A: Never. This is my first time.

Q: Where did you get your inspiration to write for Kau Ingat Kau Gempak?
A: People who experienced tragic in their life. This is a story-telling track. Not even about myself but it can be me.

Q: What do you hope for Kau Ingat Kau Gempak to happened?
A: Becoming an anthem to address adversaries and stay relevant forever.
